i have a 1997 1.6 vtr and the engine is getting tired, well the top end i think as its harder to start it when its warm but its not burning oil.
i have a 106 1.6 xsi head that i want to rebuild, would it fit? it looks the same and there is two year difference in cars?
are they the same or will it affect the power?
cheers.luke

Not up on what years they changed everything but if you have a look at the head casting I think they will be the same.

Black top have two bumps. One big one smaller. Silver top only had one. Its sort of kidney shaped. Though the heads have the codes on them. The XSI should be the same as a black top VTR.
