quick question about standard manifolds...

i currently have a straight through decat on my mark one VTR but i got my MOT soon and was just wondering if i could put a mark 2 manifold on (cat in down pipe) if it would be a straight fit or not as my mate has one... :)

It will fit but later types have 2 lambda sensors so you would have a hole that would need plugged. Might have a problem with the oil filter too as they are different set ups.

i thought that if it was a mark 2 manifold wanting to put on a mark one would fit as my oil filter isnt in the way
was just a idea instead of having to put a mark one on

It won't clear the mk1 oil filter iirc

Its alot easier and usually alot cheaper to buy a standard exhaust with cat than it is to buy a mani with cat. And you will have issues with the oil filter on the mk1, not worth it imo.
