What is the box underneith the ECU on a MK2 vts? its a red fag packet sized thing that the cables go into the engine bay wiring loom?

another quickie... the fuel pump power cable goes to the engine bay fuse box and then into the engine bay loom... does anyone know where it goes from there?

sorry one more :P... the bottom 5 fuses in the engine bay fuse box are all ignition supplied fuses does anyone know if there is a master relay for these or where they go or what would stop them from working?

Any help would be appreciated, im trying to compile some info for those of us who have immobilised or not running vts conversions

Cheers Lippy

think you mean the double injection relay......

know what its double injecting or is it 2 relays strapped together?

its 2 relays in 1 box. One sorts out the power to the ecu, the other sorts out the power to everything when the engines actually running. There is no master relay for the ignition feed.. its your key!

The engine only needs a few wires to actually run, a switched live, perm live, startermotor switch+ big live and the wire to the fuel pump

Fuel pump wire runs doen passenger side ( Blue ) test more than one to pump

as for rest im not sure never delved around a Saxo there

Cheers for the replies guys!

If im getting nothing from any of the pins on the plug (with the relay removed) and the ignition on) would you say that its because the current ECU is a locked one that ive fitted whilst mine is away or that the relay itself is buggered?

I chased the fuel pump wire to the red relay today, terminates in pin 12 iirc and the color changes to white/cream somewhere behind the engine but not sure why or where the change in color occurs

Really wish I had of known you unlock ecu's ryan! would have been cheaper for me and you are more helpful than the guys I sent mine off to! (all they seem to have done is to chop 2 pins inside the ECU... and ive still got no fuel pump or coilpack :(

neither -you have lost main power feeds-should be 12v at more than one of those large wires coming to the realy at any time
smells like a engine conversion job

mine is an original vts engine ive not done a conversion :/

Do you know where the main power supply comes from ive chopped off both ends of the oem charging cable and replaced it with a thicker one...

any idea as to weither the supplies for the relay box are fed from the middle of the oem cable???

on some looms they were, usually the 106gti though.

Do you have 3 thick blue wires and a thinner brown one running upto the fuse box on the wing?

Il have a look later Ryan, iirc there are 3 thick white wires one of which is the fuel pump for sure that run across to the engine bay fusebox.

I think I need to remove my engine bay wiring loom to check :(

have you removed the starter motor recently? Some peoples favourite trick is to wire up the starter motor wrong since power for that relay goes from the battery to the starter, then another wire takes it from the starter to the relay so if you've put the take-off or power lead on the starter wrong then you'll get nothing at the relay.
