Standard air box sizes

Hi, might be a stupid question but are the 1.1 standard airbox's the same as a 1.6 vtr? Had trouble starting my car earlier in the cold. Its got a stupid big green induction kit on it at the moment and i'm wandering if this is what the problem could be. My mate has an airbox off a 1.1 which i can have free of charge if it fits :) If not then must i'm guessing its a sensor.

Looking at my moms 1.1 airbox to the VTR one i took off, they look identical, but then ive not seen the ID of the bit that connects to the throttle body so cant comment on that

but ive got a large K&N and it was a bastard to start this morning in the freezing cold =/

IIRC the filter inside is different and they are not identical. That doesn't mean it wont fit but it might not be letting in standard amounts of air
