engine trouble

this morning my vtr just didnt want to move at all, i had my foot to the floor in 2nd gear an was getting no acceleration at all. i belive the car is misfiring in the 4th cylindar, it usually runs fine though. i've had the spark plugs replaced, i'v heard that the coil pack might be the problem or something else??? any help with this would be greatly appreciated, prices for repairs etc etc

best thing to try would be to get a new coil pack, not sure on the exact price but i think its about £50ish

kool thanks, i'll get right on doin that smileys/smiley4.gif but lets say the coil pack doesnt fix it and the spark plugs have been replaced any other ideas? nothing to expensive i hope.

for about £15 you can buy a set if Spark Plug Circuit Testers. They fit between the HT leads and the spark plug. When the coil pack fires and ignites the plug/fuel it lights up! Cool eh? (FIT ONLY FOR TESTING NOT ENGINE BAY NEON) smileys/smiley17.gif

so anyone hav any ideas if it aint the coil pack or spark plugs?? just trying to make sure am ready for all possibilities.

am guessin the coil packis a ignition coil pack.
