hi guys its the first time ive posted on this site evern though i have been a member for a year now, ive owned a couple of saxo's now but im having problems with one of the cylinders, i had a new manifold fitted but the once cylinder appears not to be running correctly, i have no idea what is wrong ive changed the spark plugs but still no luck what so ever the car smells as if its running rich on the fuel, the plan was to plant a vts or vtr engine in it as it is only a furio, i love the car to bits but money is abit tight at the moment to do this straight way, any ideas what could be wrong, i cannot afford the mechanics to look at it just yet, so was wondering if any of you guys had any ideas what could be wrong,,

many thanks
tom

sounds like the coil packs fooked, not firing on 1 cylinder?, it will smell like this if the fuel is not being burnt on 1 cylinder
cold weather tens to bring out faulty 8v coil packs

my vtr was the same except it spat a sparkplug out on the motorway doin 70, i put a new plug in and ran like a bag of shit, took the head off and found lots of dings in the piston and head but they didnt look that bad. could this be down to the coilpack at the end of the day.
