Use the search function and you'll find plenty of threads about putting 2ltr etc. engines in a Saxo.

xsara vts is a 2.0l
iv seen a vts in a 205 before so the mounts are either very similar in position or are the same!

custom parts will have to be made (engine mounts), wiring would have to be done from scratch, Rad, exhaust, gearbox, drive train all have to be made to fit into a car they were not meant for!
it could be done, just need lots of cash and time!

the money you spend on the project you may as well
1) buy another car
2) mod a 1.6 vts to its limits
the probs with enging conversions are time money and insurance

the 205 did have several MA engines in and had modifed mounts to match, the saxo however doesnt have the same, so you can put a vts in the 205 but you cannot put a 205 lump or XU lump should i say in a saxo without custom everything, and that includes all mounts, driveshafts etc.
average cost to put a 2l in your saxo is about 5k, and that gets you 167bhp at the fly, spend 5k on a turbo or supercharger conversion and you will have 200 at the wheels.
