Can i run a vts engine on my vtr gearbox and drive shafts? Or is this going to cause me problems?
Cheers Nik

Can be done as the box will fit. If youve got a VTS engine id go for a box suited to that engine such as VTS box or 1.1 box

it was an optional extra - i had shafts on mine with the ABS pick up rings on. but them needed to change them as gators split & they were new, so just swopped the whole shaft over again! orderd the ones with no ABS pick up rings on.smileys/smiley14.gif

to be honest matey im not sure but when i went to pick the engine up the gearbox looked brand new he said it had only done £500 miles before he got caught with no insurance and it was better than the standard vts gearbox as it has a stronger diff.how could i tell if its an LSD iv got?

when you drive it you will know, but you wont be able to tell without stripping the box, but if it really did i doubt he would of give you then box for less than £400 on its own.

to be honest i got it all for a bargain! i think he'd just had a bad experience with it and wanted rid! his house was massive and his family looked like they had a lot of money, his dad probably just bought it him straight off! i dont know!

i got it all for £400 106 gti engine 45k, uprated cams, remapped aftermarket ecu, wiring loom with extra wiring so that i can still use my keykode immobiliser. manifold, new headgasket done 100 miles ago, new gearbox £500 miles ago!

thats a bloody bargain in anyones books!
