right.. im wanting to buy a 106 gti engine off a friend of mine, and i was just wondering if you need any paper work or any details with the engine for insurance purposes etc. the engine has the engine number on the side, is this all i need to send off to the dvla? or do i need more smileys/smiley5.gif

no you dont matey. i bought a gti engine last bank holiday and you dont need anypapers. doing the conversion in a couple of weeks time. some insurance companies ask for a garage report but thats it. im about to get insurance with ENDSLEIGH. im 19, 0 no claims and 2 years experience and they gave me my best quote of £1715.01.
