vts engine

hi all ive put a thread saying im new and a question ive picked up a vts but some reason theres a vtr engine in it is it had to put back to a vts as im paying vts insurance so might as well be one and what sort of cost am i looking at i like in nottingham does anyone know who could do this for me or could i do it my self im good with spanners as being building show cars for a while but never done engines thanks all

Anyway welcome, any pictures of the car?

Its an easy enough swap, the best thing to do is get an engine/loom/ecu that is the same "plug" as your car i.e 1plug,3plug etc. Theres plenty of guides on here though so use the search button and start building your knowledge up.

i do it from home being doing up cars for years im a tattooist by trade working on a one off dash at min with 10" touch screen for pc the whole lot will be trim in cream leather with blue alcantara in center

truth mate i dont know when i got the black hrv with the audio it sounded shit due to how it had been installed but now its going in mine im doing it all again :) i didnt buy it for hi rms or bass wanted it to be different cos it the only 32" kenwood sub in the world

In answer to your original question if you're good with spanners then yes you can do it, by the sounds of it it's just a case of unbolting the old for the new I guess you've had a look at this guide http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=110962&highlight=vtr+convert+vts I don't think you need to open the engine up or anything like that :)
