As requested. If you can not access bottom hose. This is another way to do it. Take abit longer but does the same.
- Remove coolant return pipe from expansion tank. Usualy the highest pipe.
- Put return hose over front of car into a bucket.
- Remove expansion tank cap
- Start engine and the fluid from in the car will come out the return hose.
- Set a hose to the same speed as the water coming out
- If you dont have a hose, u need a bucket of fresh water. To pour in
- After a few minutes, stop pouring water in, and wait about 10 seconds to let water dis-appear from expansion tank. Start pouring neat anti-freeze in
- Watch the return pipe, as soon as the water coming out turns blue pink. Stop pouring allow it to run for a further 10 seconds.
- Turn engine off, Attach return hose to tank and pour remaining amount of anti-freeze in. So if you have poured 1L in already pour another 2L in if 3L is required.
- The water level should be either under the maximum mark at this point, or in some cases non in the tank at all. Just top up with fresh water to max limit.
- If the water is higher than the max mark. Remove the return hose and let engine run until it drop to Max mark on tank
- Secure return hose. Replace tank cap. Run engine to remove any air from system.
- Drive the car a few miles to make sure it does not get hot
- Job Done.
