Decatting a mk2

Just wondered how you got about it weather you need a mani or you can do it without a up graded mani

MK1 downpipe IIRC is a cheap way to do it

You need to replace the manifold mate. 4-2-1 mani :y: will also more than likely need to do a mk1 oil filter conversion as the mk2 housing gets in the way of the mani.

you can buy a actual MK2 decat pipe or sports cat so you dont have to relocate oil filter

If you want to fit a mk1 fanimold then you can but will need to relocate the standard mk2 oil filter housing using a mk1 filter and thread but you will also need to tap the block to bung the return hole

horrible to keep swapping over for the sake of a little more horse power and loud noise. I been to hell and back with my decat experienceand mine was a simple centre section swap
