ok so heres the story

im new to this site and new to the saxo scene after recently purchasing my little t reg 1.4 saxo as a little project in my spare time

it belonged to a student down the road who he acquired it of of his mother but never driven it and thought he is best of catching the bus everywhere rather than putting in for his driving test

now im looking to work on this car in my spare time and turn it into a little sleeper, i also (like everyone these days) don't want to spend a lot on it

im not new to taking a spanner to a car as i work in the trade

i was wondering wats the best route to go down to get the best sort of performance for not very much ££££

also i would like to know what engines just "drop in" without to much hassle or cutting up the car

thanks for reading this and i look forward to hearing back form some of you :y: :y: :y: :y: :afro:

i apologise if there are similar topics and i didnt read those first lol

yeah i was planning to upgrade susspension and brakes anyways, its gonna be off the road for a while so its not gonna be back on untill its finished

i need to do some welding on the offside rear sill so im gonna start tearing the whole thing down and do all the body work and then start putting her back together and upgrading as i go

as above vts lump and possibly do some stripping. spare wheel, soundproofing etc. vts is deffo way to go. few hundred quid and you got a 120bhp 16v. a good base if you decide to take it further.

If you have a single plug ECU, you need a single plug VTS engine, if you have a 3 plug ECU you need a 3 plug VTS engine.

You could probably get all the parts for 300-500 ish, then cost of fitting it unless you do it yourself.
