just would like to know what would be the best torque wrench to have to rebuild a 106 gti engine there are quite a lot of settings to torque down bolts. I don't wont to get 1 and find it don't go hi enough on torque settings so what should i go for.:y:

get two, one for low stuff (10-40Nm) and a larger one for the bigger things such as cam pulleys, etc..... If you can get one that goes upto 250Nm then you will be able to do up any bolt on the vehicle with the re-assurance that it is done correctly.

second this.

you'll need two torque wrenches minimum. You'll need one up to 250 Nm but it's bloody massive meaning it won't fit in some tight places for the smaller bits, not to mention that the accuracy of large torque wrenches at low values is limited.

two torque wrenches = happy home mechanic.
