Hi there can anyone help me with this? I have a 106gti engine to put in my saxo vtr but my saxo is a 3plug ecu and the 106 is a 1plug ecu. I know i need to get the ecu unlocked but is there any1 who knows a bit more about this? It would be well appreciated thanks :)

you have done it in a hard way, the rule of thumb is if you car is three plug get a three plug 16v engine ALSO the 106 engines use a different loom to vts's

if it was me id either chop off the big multi connector where it attaches to the interior loom and wire on your vtr connector then it SHOULD plug in to your interior loom

or buy a single plug vts loom and an interior loom from a single plug vts, which involves taking your dash out and replacing the loom inside the car and i think you'll have to fit the older style vts clocks i think they are the two easiest ways to do it

hope this helps, if ive got anything wrong feel free to correct me :y:
