Looking at maybe doing a vts conversion as abit of fun/project. I know everyones gonna say use the search button, BUT theres hundreds of threads etc. Just wondering if people who have researched/done it have any useful references?
Any useful hints?, Any useful threads on here that people can link me to etc?
cheers iain

Its reletivly straight forward, if you cba to do it yourself theres a local lad up here called williamvts, he's done a fair few 16v conversions and could probably give a few tips.

this guy did every to his car using the search button lol he had a useful little saying:
3 linkages, 3 mounts, 2 fuel lines, 2 cables, 1 plug, exhaust.
it really isnt overly hard
-jack car up
-disconnect struts from wishbones and pull forwards to pull shafts out of g/box
-disconnect fuel pipe
-disconnect clutch/accelerator cable
-disconnect rad hoses
-disconnect 3xgear linkages
-work your way around the engine unplugging the loom
-disconnect exhaust
-strap the engine to the engine crane and undo mounts and withdraw from engine bay
-fitting exactly same as removal
really isnt overly hard :y:
