Got myself a 1.1, and have a bit of money too.
Would like to know any things i could do just to bump up the power, or speed anything, just to make it that bit more better than a normal 1.1
Since replacing the air filter, with a pipercross, i've been hooked on doing stuff ever since.

So any tips, hints anything at all just some ideas what else could be done to it,
Cheers x

Would be cheaper and more efficient to sell it adn use the extra money to buy a VTR/S. Not masses you can do to get a 1.1 to that kind of speed/power.

Fair one mate, only thing holding me back from doing that is insurance, pretty high already.

fold the rear seats down, gives it an extra 10bhp lol

serious note: you could strip the car out, remove rear seats, carpet etc etc

you can do w/e you want mate
on the still note you cant ever get away from the fact that it is still a 1.1....

If your declaring mods then a standard VTR is less insurance than a similarly powered 1.1

Strip it as much as possible is about the only thing worth doing in my opinion

set of fresshh looking alloys to start with thats one the things i started with cause you dont wana be going round in a saxo with angel lights lowered exhaust ya music blaring out and be sitting on hubbys.
then get ya exhaust fitted, lowered, angels, tint rear lights(cheap easy way) to make look bit nicer
tint side repeaters.
i got flat arch like you atm and one thing im progressin on is the trim that goes along the side your doors take em off sand em down primer them and repsray em im halfway through that job atm. also get a set of better interior maybe 106 gti leathers or just vtr cloth interior just make look bit sportier

Your not gonna get much more power from the 1.1 without going down the route of a turbo and thats $$$$

Plus, by the time you declare all your engine mods to your insurer, the price will likely be more than a VTR/VTS to insure anyway

Induction kit and full exhaust system is the best you will get for cheapish money but you probably wont even notice the power difference, more for noise than anything

None of that will make the car faster though lol.

As said mate, after it all its still only a 1.1, then again with a 16v in its still just a saxo lol.

Tbh with you mate, on a 1.1 I would just leave it as is, get a year of driving out the way, save the modding money. Then in 12months time use the money saved to buy a nice VTR and the NCB should help you insure it :y:

If you do want to do a few bits though get yourself a decat and a nice exhaust system. Should keep you happy for 12months :y:
