Urgent help required please!

hi there im new on here but have joined up because got a serious problem and need help. I recently bought and fitted a 106 gti engine for cheap with all loom and ecu. Now i have been told that my engine will not work in my 1.1 saxo shell due to wiring or something along those lines. Is this true or not my car is a ph2 and engine is ph1 but got ph2 loom for it. Any help would massivly appreciated thanks liam

pH1 engine uses 1 plug on the ecu,ph2 engine uses 3 plugs on the ecu.In its current state no your engine won`t work without adapting the wiring loom.Also I think you may have a problem with an engine mount as you 1.1 won`t have the correct mount.

hi steve cheers for your reply. i got the mount sorted using the 1.1 mount everything is all sturdy as it should be. the problem i am having now is the car loom on my saxo is 1 big plug and the engine loom and ecu for is 1 little plug. im going to try and take some pics later. the problem i am having is my saxo was a big plug and 3pin ecu and the engine has come out of 1 little plug and 1 plug ecu. i have now got a mk2 vts loom but the sensors and everything else are different to my engine am really stuck and need pointing in the right direction

dont no if this is the same thing but im sure a 3plug engine will mate a single plug ecu/loom by changing the maf sensor(?) over and one on the throttle body!? feel free to correct me tho

orite i dont know mate just none of the plugs match up or anything. im gonna take some detailed pictures tomorrow mate to try and get some help off people here thanks for the reply
