Remove your wishbone brace. ;)

The 1.1 block is slightly shorter than the 1.6 blocks so that is why it hangs lower. I had the exact same problem with my old car, although I did manage to make it fit even with a strut brace on but it rubbed on it loads. I welded a bracket onto the mani which I could then attach to the gearbox mount!

Save the hassle of modding a 1.1 and save for a vtr/s.

Lmao I didn't even think they made manis for the 1.1, is it the same mani as the 1.6?

Similar. The block is just shorter on the 1.1 so bottom bolt under the car does not fit. You can normally botch them a little to get most VTR manifolds to fit.

Errm, the 1.1 head port spacing may be slightly different to a 1600..

On the exhaust side there the same so its not a problem. The inlet can be different depending on the year engine it came off.

so just checking would this mani fit on to a vtr without any hassle or will it be too small?
