Avoid selling this plank anything!

He messed about paying for a pair of headlights, barted to get some freebies with them and when he did eventually receive the headlights (which were sent in good condition) said they were in bad condition with scratches and a clip broken.

Being a fair person I offered to refund them if returned in the same condition they were sent, received them this weekend and one of them is smashed!

I've asked the guy to supply the PO details to make a claim, then I would refund the difference (leaving me out of pocket with a pair of headlights I can't sell) but instead he has gone straight to paypal and they are refunding him!

Why some people can't just resolve things without playing the victim I have no idea.

And paypal can just gtf........

99% of the time paypal favour the buyer, not realising that the seller loses out :n:

Take some pics of the damaged lights mate, send them to paypal. May not work, but got Jordy a 50% split. Better than nothing, no harm in trying either :y:

I've already taken pics Sam and sent them to the buyer but he is now accusing me of smashing them so I didn't have to refund him!

I've asked for tracking details so we can make a claim with the post office but he's now saying I should claim from when I sent them!

He messaged me (can be seen in my wall) saying they were scratched and a clip broken, but when I got them back they were physically broken in the box!

Send the pics to paypal mate, along with postage details from your side. That way he will have to put his return details up too (paypal will ask for them), that way you can see them. If he refuses, paypal will favour you. If he does it, you get the details for the claim :y:

haha mate you can get a refund from post office dont see the big fucking deal. they were damaged in transit to me in the first place. you could have got a refund from them and refunded me my money but no you wouldnt refund me what am i meant to do mate i payed £50 for damaged headlights no use to me mate.

Had this exact problem not long ago pretty much exactly the same case but on a set of coilovers, managed eventually to get a 50% Refund (i was seller) after alot of hassle so keep at it Craig. :y:

The thought had crossed my mind but I'm unable to check as I security marked the lenses before I sent them but seeing as one lens is smashed totally I've not actually taken them out of the box fully to check as I've had a really busy weekend and have 2 kids that I don't want to damage!

The dispute is with paypal and I feel I have a strong case as the buyer has refused to pursue a claim with the post office at his end

anyway tbh this was days ago and 50quid at the time it happened was an absolute rage. but now its just a matter of wether paypal decide to give me or craig the money tbh i couldnt really care hence the no hard feelings. but i done nothing wrong on my part just like craig done nothing wrong in his part. so only paypal can decide now who gets what.

haha they were scratched to fuck all over the glass, the whole bottom lip on one off them was broken off when they arrived hardly the condition i was wanting the ones i was going to replace them with were in better nik.

and Fuck the lot of yous that are saying i smashed them why would i do that soon as i opened them i took them out looked at them straight away they went back in the box. emailed craig taped it back up and had them in the post the next morning!

end of the day i said had no problem with craig claiming the money via PO he could either do that with when i posted it out or when he posted it out or claim from them both all i wanted was my refund and he could claim back as they were damaged when they arrived at mines wether they were damaged on the way back dont really matter as they werent useable anyway with the bottom lip broken right off when they arrived at mines.

anyway its down to paypal to decide who gets the money. like a said before im not fussed now but will let them settle it. its been a few weeks and yep i was raw with frustration when this happened as i had been ripped of for gti leathers the week before and at first glance of the pictures thought it had just happened all over again.

anyway paypal will be the decider on it now :)

Same thing happened to me. Good year or two ago on here now, sold some standard lights, buyer said they turned up cracked even though they were MINT and I packaged them up perfectly (I work for DHL so know how to package correctly ha!).. Being the gent I am I provided a full refund, buyer agreed to send back the lights in the broken condition that they were supposedly in.. Still haven't received them to this day. (In all fairness I was stupid to refund him before I received the lights) but still.. Forget the twats username now but i'll never post lights again. So easy for them to just grab a pic of some broken headlights and say that it was the set you sent.
