Hey everyone right going to do a turbo converstion on me saxo just trying to see which way i want to do it either turbo the 1.6 or 2.0 turbo xantia engine.
Right does any one know the engine number on a xantia turbo. So i can find out all the info i need etc.
All info on the convo welcome basicly what i need to find out if the saxo gearbox will boly up to it and are the mount in the same place or on the turbo is the holes that can be threaded to match the saxo engine mounts

the holes on the turbo lump as on some cars they have shit loads of hole things but only some are threaded.
If this dont make sense let me kno0w and ill try and put it in better words lol

better words please mate smileys/smiley2.gif .your best of turboing the saxo engine mate,as you will lose handling of car fitting xantia engine,will be alot cheaper aswell mate.have a search on here its been covered many of times

All info on the convo welcome basicly what i need to find out is if the saxo gearbox will bolt up to it the xantia turbo lump and do the engine mount bolts bolt up in the same place or is there holes that can be threaded to match the saxo engine mounts
basicly are the bottom ends the same cast with different internals

i am pretty sure all the engine mounts are different,so all new ones will have to be put in.cheaper doing vts mate smileys/smiley17.gif

cool well with the VTs theres a few things im unsure of do i need a fith injector where do i get the manifold from and is it ok to do 2 gaskets or do i do lower compression pistons as I only have limited fundsand the xantia i could have got very cheap of a familly member

also if i was to do lwer comp pistons is there any way i can have my pistons skimmed etc as i have only just had new pistons fitted so could mine be skimmed profesionally for cheaper than a new set

if they confuse you then i wouldnt try the conversion, xantia engine wont go in without lots of mods, saxo engine is easiest to do and its not easy
