Guys on the front of a mk2 vts engine above the manifold is what i believe is the Air valve which helps with cold starts??
Does this make a difference or is it pointless??
Just wondering as i would like to remove it ....looks dam ugly.
Thankyou in advance.

So is this a case of bung the hole up on the side of the head and then just remove all the pipe work?
Anything we should keep/remove that may be important?
Also why is it there? whats it purpose if everyone removes them because we dont need them?

Pump is in passenger side wheel arch, just infront of the arch liner.

except for the fact it is not EGR --your vauxhall is --but not this stystem
this system adds extra frsh air --slightly warmed by coming through the cylinder head --this ofsets the lambda value seen by probe ,so it actaully richens up the fuelling when engine is cold making it idle better --engine warms up + pump turns off .
EGR is fitted not only for cold start but for another purpose --but i won,t go into that
yes dump it all no need for it

Why on earth would i want to hide a piper manifold.....its a work of art. It defo not going to be used for something shite like that.
