I'd really recomend the vibratechnics lower mount, it's about £30 plus post or £27-£28 plus post from spoox

Brilliant mount, it's stiffer than the Peugeot sport group n lower mount too (i have tests to proove it before anyone questions that!) but is still rubber so you get some movement still, I have it fitted with the fast road vibratechnics upper mounts too and it's fine daily

I went to vibratechnics last week for some tests and pick up the lower mount as I had the pugsport group n fitted at the time

I wouldnt go for a solid one like the group a though mate that's just over kill for a daily

Also I wouldn't use the forkbush either from bakerbm, don't get me wrong it's a great mount and is awesome if your cars going on track but you get absolutely insane vibrations from fitting this, i had one fitted before and the vibration pretty much doubled when I had a full set of puegeot sport group n's on, then removed and has sat in the garage since.
It's not the same thing though, the fork bush is the little bush that bolts to the chassis then you have the 'fork' which is what the lower mount bolts too then that bolts onto the gearbox
But because the forkbush is the one that bolts to the chassis, that's why you get the mad vibration from it, I'd just get a new o/e bush if you replace that tbh

So is the vibratechnics lower mount more stiff compared to the powerflex?
As I would probs like to go as stiff as comfortably possible for a daily driver

cheers :)

Get a Powerflex Lower one and a BBM or Pugsport GrpN top one, the GrpN top mount removes all the vibrations (strangely)

ive got a group A lower mount for vtr for sale soon mate, already pressed in, its one of the best mods ive done. Really does transfer alot more torgue to the wheels, car feels like it pulls alot harder and responds alot quicker when you put your foot down, after 30 for it

Is group a not ment to be too hard for daily driving?

heard some people say that the powerflex one is a bit soft core and isn't much of an upgrade tho, that's why I was thinking grpN or BBM?

not at all mate, mines a daily driver... has been for over 5 months with it fitted, there is a little vibration but after a week or so you dont even notice it

You will be fine fitting a group A as blackie said, but I think it's a bit much for a daily and a bit overkill tbh, yer it's great having a very stiff lower mount and will transform the car a lot, but I mean there's just no need for one that stiff imo unless it's going to be seeing a track, I think you will be fine with just a hard rubber lower mount like the vibratechnics or BBM lower. For how much you will be paying or a vibratechnics or BBM lower you really can't go wrong and will certainly be suffice enough tbh

cheers mate :) and is BBM, vibratechnics and powerflex all roughly the same?

No be powerflex is softer than the vibratechnics and BBM mount

You would be better getting the vibratechnics/BBM I don't know out of them 2 which is stiffest, but I know the vibratechnics one is very stiff, and was a lot stiffer than the Peugeot sport group N lower

Bit more responsiveness, less engine movement under hard acceleration.

Cheers mate you have been a big help, going to go out in blackies car and see if the grpA lower mount is too hardcore for me haha if it's not I will take it off him and if it is I will get a viberatechnics one :)

believe me mate the mount is spot on, i honestly do believe bar the brembo's this is the best mod ive done to my car, really does feel so much more responsive, if id not owned one previous and seen what its like i would probably think it was a bit hardcore for me too, but it really isnt, running the group A lower with the other two standard works very well, id aggree all three group A would be far too much like lol, but my car does see some hard driving :)

for £30 its a bargain especially being ready pressed in and covered only 2k, and £35 fitted is an uber bargain :p
