hiya, right so i just bought a backbox off a lad on here. now im guessin since he had it on a saxo it wont need welding or anythin but im confused as to how i take my old one off? once i undo the clamp will it just pull off? i had a little search n couldnt find anythin cheers. also http://img707.imageshack.us/i/questoin.jpg/ is that pic right?? thanks guys

It'll just pull off, but is not really a performance issue it should be on the problems page.

Why did the other bloke take it orf?

your back box has a buldge on the end of it, which sits in the flare at the end of your center section, the clamp literally just holds them together snug. so to answer your question, just unbolt the clamp then slide the back box off, then when you put the new one on, reverse the steps you took and add some fire paste to seal it better.

what make is the exhaust, just out of interest ?, yeah mate, takes about 5-10 mins to get it off, so no hassle at all

yeah should bolt straight on mate, just wonderd as i bought a piper second hand, i needed to get another bit so that it would fit.

no one warned me bout the rusted bolts lmao took ages to get them off tried blowtorchin them so the nuts wud expand nothin then my stepdad just drilld them in half!! but its on now cheers for help

just undo the clamp then put the new one on put it on the hangers first tho then do it up and ur done
