How good are K&N air filters for saxo's?
I'm not thinking of getting the ''cone'' airfilter but just replacing my air filter which is in the box with a K&N version to go back in the box.
If you know what I mean? :A:
I'll have a look around at the reviews and stuff aswell. Just thought i'd ask you guys too!:y:
peace x

K&N Pannel Filters are very good IMO, But there again so are green cotton filters..
I would also consider running a larger diameter cold air feed to the air box from the front grille. Give it a better chance of breathing.

iv got a k+n gen 2, pretty well recommended. car pics up 10 times easier at low speed and has a satisfying surge at higher speeds to. whereas the old box (even with a new panel filter) just felt lethargic

Cone filters dont work in 90% of cases, they just look good.
Most cars loose power from them.
Enclosed Kits FTW

I bought a k&n pannel filter from demon tweeks and am really pleased with it. Keeps the engine bay looking standard, not as loud as an open cone filter but then you dont have to worry about heat soak. Standard air box with uprated panel filter ftw

Have you got the standard air box inlet pipe (bit that sucks the air in)?
If u want more colder air and more air getting to it, Put a bigger cold air feed into it or maybe 2 (i know some who have done this and it does help

Did have a cold air feed through one of the fogs and also took the smaller resonator box off and put some mesh over the hole. Didnt see any noticeable gains so im using the standard inlet pipe again as i prefer oem look

i took the resonator box off and the car sounded quiter but yet people on here say it sounds better with it off but i took mine of and pluuged the ole up and it sounded quite as a mouse so i put the old resonator box back on and got my sweet roar sound back :)

i wish i'd gone for a panel filter after i junked it for a ram air kit, sounds awsome but engine really flat until around 4000rpm, just ordered a simota so hopefully get some low end pick up back, fingers crossed!

i bought a cone filter for mine and other than the sound i havent noticed a difference. the car doesnt seem as revvy anymore and makes a lot of noise with no go!
may look in to an enclosed system and run a cold air feed from the fog light.
