ive just done a engine convertion from 53 plate vtr to 03 plate vts can i use the spark plugs from the vtr engine in the vts engine there only 4 days old??

if they are same size then yes dont see why not

Will be worth checking the electrode spacing on the spark plugs, as does make a difference - should be 0.9mm on the VTS engine.

The spark plugs will be fine,most modern day spark plugs are pre-gapped at the factory.

that abit pointless info to post about the question been asked, as yes sprak plugs are pre gapped, but maybe vtr and vts are not the same.

i would just buy some vts plugs, not that expensive.

Yes, spark plugs are pre gapped when made, but not for a specific make and model. When new, they are gapped for the most common gap for the engines that the spark plugs are used in. Have just mentioned this, as the VTR gap differs to the VTS gap.

I`m just going on what i`m pretty sure i`ve read in the Haynes manual mate.Maybe I got it wrong.:y:
