so how do the trumpets actually work?
afaik, they effect torque / lower / mid / or top end depending on length.

how would i work out, the length / sizes / dimensions, if i wanted to change the trumpets to effect the performance, if this is possible?

yes, its a bike. but surely, running Bodies / Trumpets on the engine they were made for, as i know a few guys here run bike carbs on their cars!
this is from a W reg, GSXR 600.
its my "commuter" / "practice" / "project" bike. so whilst its stripped at of panels, for re-spray, i wanted to look into it abit more! as im looking at JEtting kits etc anyway.

and yes, i could ask on a bike forum... but i know, there are guys on THIS site, who know their shizz on this topic!

throttle bodies and carbs are far from the same, theyre carbs not throttle bodies so avoid confusing people.
as far as the trumpets on carbs go i cant help because i know fuck all about carb tuning.

how much clearance you got from the tank? looks like it may be pretty tight under there

Hmm it might be at the correct lengths already, with out trail and error never now you need to get to a bike dyno with different lengths and trail and error to see what works.
