manifold trouble?

recently bought a sportex 4 branch (phase 2) but didnt put it on as my mot is coming up, but couldn't wait so tried to get iit on today and had no luck so took it to a local garage and they couldnt get the original one off they said it had fused to the block, anyone ever come across this before?

Its bollox, just needs a wallop with a wooden mallet. If you struggle with the nuts use a 6 point socket

I don't see how it physically wont come off? Surely a big enough hit will solve the problem...

Garage said it was fused, they're either a main dealer, or you got palmed off with the apprentice and they then palmed you off with a shit excuse. If they class that as stuck then ide hate to see them swap a wheel bearing

thanks for the heads up, will try again myself, thought it was abit of a wierd, I was worried about damaging the threads thats why i took it to a garage.
