Which are better ? Differences etc. Running on a vtr engine.
I know it's been done loads but I'm unaware of the difference. My friends running R6's from Bogg brothers and it's very quick. Anyone shed some light?

carbs are like taking a step back in engineering and when mot time comes around it will be hard to pass emissions. You would be better going for itb's and iirc they produce more power:y:

i should think r1 mate, its off a bigger bike so it should flow more air/fuel

Bigger is not always better with carbs. Is your friend using a dizzy for ignition? I know a few guys using them for sprints on 1.4s. Biggest issue after getting it all jetted up is sorting out the ignition. Best results are normally from a stand alone management with 3D ignition mapping. Most people just go fuel injection these days as you tend to get better results for similar work. The carbs are also not great for road cars though as passing a cat gas test can get tricky.

He's running a dizzy yes. There all set up correctly and it runs sweet. I did run my old one briefly on some r1's but they were not set up and ran terrible. Its worth the money just for the noise IMO lol
