Ok, so ive been told that fitting an induction kit or wacking an open filter on the air inlet wont do anything atall mainly due to the way the engine is set out, and that the best thing to do is to upgrade the standard filter.
tbh ive never taken it all apart so i dunno what the filter looks like or what i need in order to upgrade it.
what is the panel filter i need to replace and with what??

Check that thread out mate there is also a an induction kit you can buy of ebay where the filter sits right on top of throttle body.
Hope that helps!!! :y:

If you do wanna change your standard panel then have a look at a K&N one. They sell performance panel filters :y:
Heres some pipercross ones: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=saxo+1.1+panel+filter&_sacat=0&_sop=15&_dmpt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&_odkw=saxo+panel+filter&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3286.c0.m270.l1313

I have the K&N on my throttle body and saw no diference to performance either just sounds better and made no difference to fuel consumption either. :A:

Its different as you have the mk2? Which is a multi-point engine. Mine is a single point engine. :)

and about the breather pipe that comes from the slam panel its better to keep it on as it is forcing cold air into the engine.
