View Full Version : do i need the keys + transponder to go from vtr to vts??

basicly im looking at a vts engine to go in my vtr! iv got a mrk 1 vtr and has dun 105,000 miles, what do i actually need to get out of the vts to transfer it all to my vtr just werent sure on a few bits! cheers everyone

Get the transpoder (black box passesenger side of the dash board) and if you can get the keys you'll be able to unlock the ecu with no problems otherwise you'll have to get it done professionally.
I also grabbed the vts clocks but I dont think there essential.

If you have an unlocked ECU you will not need the keys and transponder, but if you do have these it makes ulocking it easier should you not decide to wire the immobiliser in.... the clocks aren't essential just have a nice digital display lol
