Revs in the Red?

What happens to the engine/car if ur revs go into the red bit, like on my 1.1 its wen the revs go over 7000?

nothing happens but carry on doing it and over time it will nacker the engine in some way

you cant go into the red anyways really! it will just bounce off your limiter at about 6500rpm.

do this too often and i can guarentee your head gasket wont last long

there isnt much point in going that high as there isnt much torque at those sorts of rpms :)

also whatever you do dont do it on a cold engine (first thing in morning etc) its the worst thing you can do to your car!

lol yea i knew it was bad, just didnt know how bad, like the otha day i went into it accidently and didnt know if doin it just a few times would screw up da engine, or if it was just a precaution or woteva.
