View Full Version : Nice sounding exhaust?

Could someone please recommend me what to get for a nice sounding exhaust?

I currently have mine completely standard but due to an issue with the backbox it sounds like a modified backbox, I like the sound I just don't like the loss in power haha.

Just to add I want a system that sounds good, I'm not worried about performance. :)

Is it the back box that makes the most noise?

yes, however, chaning the manifold, cats all make a massive difference to the exhuast note

Ahh, are there any good cost-effective ones at all?
My back box sounds pretty nice as it is, as far as I know it's standard but I think it has a hole in. :(

That sounds lovely! How much did you pay for that if you don't mind me asking?
& Did you buy the whole lot, not just the backbox?

Also I was hoping for a slightly deeper exhaust note too.

How much would one of those set me back?

Saxsport are raspy like the Supersprint so not a deep tone. If you want a deep tone go for a Magnex or even a Piper like what Moxy has posted up. Good exhausts but not as raspy as Supersprint/Saxsport. There are so many threads on here and this has been covered so many times so have a search. Also so many vids on youtube which will help you choose as well. :y:

Been looking at scorpion back boxes and seen one near me for only £20, had a look on youtube and they all sound nice even with standard center pipes.

As a rule they have a large bore though, is that what you want?

Would there be any disadvantages to that at all?

No, but its not very subtle. Depends what look you are going for with your car.

Hmmm, true.
My current exhaust isn't even visible.

This is the one I've seen, would it be any good?
