right ive just replaced the rocker cover on my vtr due to it leaking and it was a pain to get the rocker back on as the injectors are in thr way so indid the best i can but ita still leaking n the whole engine bay is covered in oil =( so any tips would be brill and any ideas how to clean the engine bay up as i dont think jetting it down with the jet wash would be a good idea,

did you replace the rocker cover gasket? or jus the rocker cover or do you mean u replaced the gasket? take off wats in the way would be easier option!

only replaced the rubber rocker seal and then used gasket seal, was a pain to put the rocker back on with the spacers and the plate as i kept losing them lol so looks like ill be taking the injectors off this weekend

Could be a warp in the actual rocker cover, put it on a flat surface and see if theres any play.
Did you tighten up to correct torque? I found mine started leaking because someone before I had the car had tightened them up too much and crushed the lips on the seal so when i put it back on it leaked.
Have you also checked the breather pipe is fine? Could cause there to be more pressure within the head than normal just a guess but normally the dip stick is forced up when theres no where for the engine to breathe.

cheer rumble, ive sorted it now well i think took the new seal off ( woch was brought afew days back of ebay) and noticed it had split so got the old one with gave it some
gasket seal n its on now no signs of any leaks yet but rhe engine is coverd in oil could use a tip how to get it off as the engine sits smoking like mad
trying to burn the oil off
