I'm thinking of buying a new centre section for my 02 vtr so i can have an underbody cat for mot etc. and the cats for mk2 have a flange at the rear of the cat that attaches to the rest of the centre section and the only afermarket centre section i can find that has the oposite flange is made up of 3 pieces; a decat pipe, small straight pipe and the tail end that meets the back box.

i was just wondering has anyone got/had one or will i have leaking issues?

the flange from the manifold cat is the same as the flange on all other std mani's so any aftermarket centre/decat will attach to it. Had a supersprint race pipe (single piece) from the mani/cat on my mk2 vtr.

i have a raceland mani so im going to run a mk1 system from the cat back.

the flange im talking about attaches the cat (underbody) to the rest of the centre section. it looks like the flange that attaches the back box to the centre section.

if any of that makes sence

I see, read it too quick lol, all aftermarket cantre (cat back) should have the same flange so you can plug it straight onto your cat if you're keeping it.

I know for certain my Piper does as it was a right ballache trying to fit it, pretty sure supersprint centres do aswell :y:

EDIT: supersprint does http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen/citroen-saxo/saxo-exhaust/exhaust-pipes/supersprint-cat-back-race-centre-pipe-citroen-saxo-mk1.html

Yeh i understand what you mean :y:

Would be better off getting a standard VTS centre section if the flange of the CAT doesn't match up to your current centre section.

Have you got a supersprint centre pipe or standard?

at the moment i have a really shit rusted centre section that im changeing so i need a replacement centre section that can have a cat put in and taken out for my mot (which is soon).

and the centre section i have been looking at have "de cat pipes" but one slides into the other (no flange) and the only one that has a flange comes in 3 parts

as i said mate the piper centre section is one piece from cat to back box and has the correct flange at the cat end, same as the supersprint so go for either of them :)

sweet, but the problem with those centre section is that there expensice and i would need to cut it down as my back box has a slide on fitment not a flange fitment
