is it possible to do away with the shitty pin system in early VTS?
How so?

yes it can be done, dont know how though...sorry
iv still got the number pad but i dont need to put a code in to start the car

put the code in, start the engine and unplug the keypad. Leave it unplugged. Write a note on the keypad saying DO NOT PLUG IN (its amazing how many people forget the pin then reconnect it!!)

or you can change the code to 1111, itll start all the time.

how do you go about changing the code mate? Guy i knows forgotten the original.

^put pin in, green light comes on.
press C then enter new code, press and hold C.
Green light flashes, and better not forget the new pin.

My VTR has the key fob thing.. is there a way to ditch that coz it does my nut in!

^ With a key fob I find it if you unlock the car with it and then take it off the key-ring and put it inside the ashtray, that way its always there for incase you need it.
I understand you just wanna use the key on its own right.
