Will Wellseal be ok for sealing VTS Sump?

As above really, have seen it recommended for sealing vts cam latters and rocker covers, just wondered if it was decent for sealing sumps too?

If its non hardening and oil-resistant, it should be fine.

Well I've put it on and tbh I ain't very confident, it seems too runny and the raised sections tell me it's gunna piss oil everywhere!

Use loctite 5910, you can get if from halfords for about £5

I use one called rhodorseal don't no how available it is but it's defo the best engine sealant I've ever used

wellseal is ideal for close tolerance surfaces like cam ladders etc but on a sump you need something thicker like the loctite mentioned above or an RTV type sealer

The loctite needs 24hrs to dry btw if that's the stuff your going for.

Get most of it off with a scraper or spreader then use a harsh solvent like thinners or nitromoors and wipe on wipe off (wear gloves) till its all gone.

hmm, could do, but block and sump is painted, sure wellseal wont work? lol
