View Full Version : Technical name for plastic rear radiator hose connector and where to buy?

It escaped my mind but the last bit i need for my conversion is a rear radiator hose connector. Where can i get one from?

dont by second hand as they generally shatter when fitting/removing

Whats the proper name mate? You wouldent believe how long it took them to understand that i wanted rear "citroen" and "saxo" badges, not random citroen saxo badges lol.

Not really a technical name. If you go to citreon and tell them what your after they will search the system. I'd call it the connector between the lower radiator hose and the block. They will know what you mean!

Make sure you get the right one too, I thought they were all the same until I swopped engines an couldn't get the preformed hoses from the cabin to fit. Second hand ones are fine just so longs there's no damage or cracks. I removed an refited some with no mither, just used some high temp silicon to seal it. Just something to bear in mind, unless uve already sorted it :)

ring or go to your local dealer,, explain what it is and ask for the part number ,, theyve always been helpful with me ,, then put part number in on google ,, any no anything about ecu`s im havin problems with mine on my vts

well i had to fit a re con ecu , main got dam ,, it hadnt been re sealed proply when it was chipped. bt the ecu in it was unlocked.

so wen i fitted my ecu i didnt need to un plug the imoblisor

the car was a non runner , with the new ecu it runs and idles well but its running very rich ,, and black smoke comes out the back when you rev it ,, any ideas mate

I think there is really no technical name for a rear radiator hose connector. You can relate this part to items such as a coolant hose connector if I am not mistaken. When you go to a dealership or to a DIY mechanic, advice them that it is the connector between the lower radiator hose and the block and I am sure they will know what you are referring to.

its called the water intake tank and the part number is 1201 59

i have one for sale, i ordered one but then realised it wasnt that bit that was leaking, brand new, £10 delivered :)
