1.1 is 68 bhp and i have had 95 out of mine but then i stopped as it felt like it was going to fall apart!

According to parkers it does 101 max

1.0's r 50bhp standard arent they. is that rolling road proven then that u hav an extra 10bhp over standard. maybe they put a 1.1 in by mistake lol

I used to have a 1.1 it managed 105 downhill with a tail wind and 3 people in the car lol! (on the old airfield)
Then i put 16's on, lowered it and put a back box on it and it really struggled to find 85! :D:

I've got 100mph in two situations, once with the wind in my face and gf by my side, and once with a full car no wind. Thats with an induction kit fitted. Not bad as I'm sure there's more in it. It's a 1.1 Desire 3Dr X-reg

Cheers adsayer. I knew that 1.1 had 60bhp and 1.0 has 50bhp. Cos thats what it says in my citroen manual as wel, and I very much doubt they are wrong! :thumbup:

all threads like this are pointless, as the speedo is so inaccurate its impossible to tell, when your speedo says 80 you are not doing 80 probs 72/74ish, if it says 90 your probs doing 80, this sort of topic is great for pub talk but for serious reality talk it should go in the bin. And thats for every car just 1.1s or saxos.

I safely go through 50mph speed cameras at 55mph indicated.

to all those who think they have got more than 102mph form a 1.1....its not possible!!!! the gear box matched with the wind resistance etc would not allow it. Your speedo is around 10% out below 90, above that its gets stupidly wrong. the speedo may indicate 120 or something similar, but in reality you'd be lucky to be above 100!
