Fitted a VTS/GTi rad and twin fan housing setup to my VTR earlier. On the old VTR rad there was a blue temperature sensor for the fan on the top right of the rad, which the loom goes into and obviously the power plug on the fan. It appears on the VTS/Gti fan setup there are more 2/3 extra plugs on its mini loom that dont correspond to the loom on the car (silvertop mk1). What mods do I need to make to the car loom to ensure the fan works? Anyone got a wiring diagram or guide?

Hi there mate,

mine are on a mk2 1.4 furio

and i have put the dual fans on and a GTI Radiator with the switch u mean,

with mine i had to cut all the wires from the dual fans and wire them into the original look, my temp wire tho dus not go to the switch you are on about.

you will have to work out what wire works what and wire it into the loom will take picture of mine if u wish?

If you can mate that'd be grand. I'm happy to do some wiring but I'd like the fan to be ECU/Temp controlled instead of just a switch on the dash

yeah mine is through the temp switch i just about wiring the first fan through the old system and joining the second one on, then increasing the fuse for the fans up to 40amps otherwise they pop as soon as it kicks in, will get pics tomorrow for you pal

Theres only one fan in mine currently, on the lookout for a cheap second one. Dont wanna pay silly money for one though. Plus its more for looks than the added cooling benefit in this country and the usage my car will get
