Hi guys, basically I'm trying to decide what to buy next for the saxo, either a quaffile diff or a set of sandy brown gsxr boddies.
I find the car can wheespin coming out of corners quite a lot despite my decent suspension and tires, this is with a vts gearbox fitted. I'm currently rebuilding a 1.4xsi box, I'm worried it will just spin all the power away with the shorter box.
But on the other hand I want some bodies for the bwarrrrppp lol. I doubt I will see a massive increase in power or torque due to my cams not being particularly aggressive (piper bp285)
Where would you be splashing the cash? I can't afford both at the moment, so its going to be one or the other, at least for now.

I'd probably put my money into bodies if it is to remain a road car.
Or go quaife if you're going on track with it

It's my daily, but it will probably end up going on track, I never meant to build a track car, just got a bit carried away with it lol.
Ross how did you find your saxo coped without a diff? Mine is very similar to how yours was, why would you not fit a LSD to a road car?

The bodies will make a VERY noticable difference. They will resolve any idle issues your car has, sort out the low-rev stumbling, and it will sound and go awesome.
A Diff will stop wheelspin on corner exit. Just use a touch less throttle, other than that the bodies are much better bang for bucks!!! :)

Id go for the diff mate as it will help you put the power down , whats the point going for more power is your struggling to use the power you already have .

...because you only struggle to put the power down under a very tiny amount of the whole driving experience. Only on lock, and only up to 2nd gear.
All the rest of the time, 2nd gear straight line, 3rd/4th/5th you won't be wheelspinning.
A diff also doesn't just STOP wheelspin, it reduces it, so you are talking about removing a percentage of the wheelspin in a very specific area of driving.
Diff's don't sound like bodies either!!
Andy
dunno

Just lower your tyre pressure and be less heavy footed and go for the bodies.
