Hi guys,

I done my conversion yesterday and now have a few problems. The engine was single plug but I changed a few sensors, coil pack, injector loom, loom and ecu to a 3 plug to match my 3 plug car/interior loom.

It started first time but I have a few running issues. My clocks doesnt work, I can see the time etc but the mileage, temp, petrol, speedo and rev counter nothing works. The engine also bogs down when revving, I have no rev counter but at a guess it bogs down at about 3-4k revs, I can't do anymore than 55mph in 5th gear. The oil light is flickering, handbrake light stays on as well. Any body had this before or know what could be causing it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you running a return ? I'm having/ had similar problems with mine . Try and run a return see if that cures the problem .

I'm not running a return yet but I have all the fuel lines ready to go in and hoping to get it done tomorrow. Hopefully that cures it! Thanks for the reply mate.

Does any body think it could be something else?

Carlos i was just searching the forum to see if i could find any information and i came across your post haha!

Hope we can get it sorted. So many things that it could be. Need to try and get the clocks etc working first. Clear up the electrical gremlins and the problem with it bogging down might go away.

It was fate mate, haha! I hope we can get it sorted soon. We found out why the car bogs down, the ecu is shagged! We put James's ecu on it and it runs fine. The clocks still don't work though.

could be an earth or live to the clocks, check the connector isnt loose on the back.

Saxo clocks are a bit temperamental though, usually when all the dials go down like that the controller inside is toast

The clocks light up though mate? And the fuel gauge moves up and down randomly.

Thats more promising then. The fuel gauge doing that is it saying its getting a duff reading. I would check both connectors are in at the back

Try checking your fuses. A m8 of mine had 1.1 sax and his clocks and stuff just stopped working found out it was a fuse. Just a wild guess but might as well be checked just in case.

I don't think it's a fuse or they wouldn't work/light up at all? The engine bog problem is sorted, my ecu is shagged and I have a new one on the way.

Still having issues :( the engine bog down problem at 4k revs was the ecu. I got a new ecu and it's fine now. Still having problems with the clocks and the rest :(

Just a thought try disconnecting the battery for a while.

I put a 106gti lump in my car and had the same problem as you regarding your clocks not working/no fuel or anything.. I found out it was the black connector on the back of the clocks, was a bit lose, glued in now and everything works :) hope u get it sorted!
