Engine change help

Hi all I have a 1.4 westcoast and I'm thinking of putting the vtr engine in it, I was just wondering what else I'd need to change? It's gunna be the mk1 engine as iv already got a mani and cat back system, thanks

hi mate, you need a VTR loom aswell as a unlocked ECU, shame i was living in southport a few months ago, i could have given u a hand

Cheers mate also, will I need to change the gear box or will I be able to run it on the 1.4 box, driveshafts, hubs etc?

yeah you can run all the 1.4 box and stuff,

Surely if all the parts are interchangeable between the 1.4 and the vtr then they are the same for the vts so why not go for that swap wouldn't imagine it will cost anymore?
