well i had my vtr de-cat'ed but have recently been in a bit of trouble with the old bill... long story short cat is back on and im missing the de-cat sound...
would fitting a straight through centre get the pops and bangs back or is this a waste of money? and also any recommendations what to get and where from, thanks

Did they bend you over for not having a cat? Despite a lot of looking I can't seem to find a straight answer about the legalities of de-catting or what the cops do if they pull you over. Seriously considering a 4-2-1 so would like to know what i'm getting into before I do.

Having your bum-hole stretched from this . to this O by fuzz is the price you pay in exchange for pops and bangs. cat ruins everything.... if your rich then get a sports cat, they are less restrictive and alow a cheeky bang now and then on a down shift...

they gave a section 59 n a talking to but they couldnt do much more because they couldnt test the emissions there and then, they basically tried to find anything to do me for because it was late at night and had nothing better to do...
i dont think its the fact it had no cat its the emissions that determine whether its legal but without te cat its most probably goin to be illegal

I was pulled over in my 1st car (mk3 golf) and the first thing the cops did was look for the cat then performed an emmisions test. Was a loud system but still had the cat so was ok. Think I'll look harder for a 2nd hand sports cat, but not looking hopeful before my mot next month (current cat is away).

i had been told that a 1.1 centre would fit, which is a straight through pipe but it is a few inches to short, was for a mark 1 aswell :/
