Hi Guys

yet another problem with my 2001 Saxo Forte.
been out in the car all day and its been fine, when i got home and parked up ( im on a very large hill and I parked up it)

I then went out about an hour ago and it wouldn't start completely dead. Had to get roll it down the hill in second and it started now its fine.

What could it be... Ironised Water low or just a SHIT battery..
THe alternators fine or else it would not have started..

Any ideas would be great..

Cheers

Ross

Engine tired to turn over but failed and was draining the battery. No dashboard lights just the normal one and when it started it reset my radio so I have to put the code in again ( but don't have a code for it)

Get the car started and get a multi meter and check the alternators working you should get a voltage of over 13.5v. If you do alternator is fine. Get the battery charged and drop tested and that will tell you if batterys knackered. Hope this helps

If you pop into halfords and say you think you need a new battery they have little hand held metres which will check ur battery and alternator. I know halfords arnt the best but still a metre carnt be wrong so ask them to show you the results and explain what they mean. Will at least give you an idea on what you need.

:bump:

Right Guys took it to halfords and its not the Battery it was at 88% charge and he check the alternator and it wasnt that...

So only thing left is the starter motor.. ive booked it in to the garage to see if it is, All being equal how much will it cost me?
