I have seen this on eBay for Exhaust wrap:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DEI-EXHAUST-WRAP-COATING-BLACK-HT-010301-/170640377216?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27baf58580
Is it needed or can I just wrap the mani and then leave it at that? Would some clear VHT paint work over the top or is that not needed either?
Cheers

Also...ive ordered a new mani to head gasket...it is a two piece thing and although it looks to line up right...the holes look a little smaller than the tubes of my manifold...is it worth opening the holes on the gasket up to increase exhaust flow or will this not make a difference?
Cheers

Id open them up to be fair, cant hurt and will give better gas flow. The silicone stuff helps the heatwrap stay where it is, i'd not use paint

no point opening them up as the holes in the head are smaller
as for the dei stuff its very good quality i had it on my old piper setup the silicon coating is good stuff vht paint wont really work on the fibregash wrap though

Ah i see, i wondered why they were smaller lol, is the silicone stuff really necessary or will it be okay without as ive heard you can wet the wrap then when on it should solidify with the heat?
I wanted to fit it as soon as the wrap comes you see but if its gonna look shit or drop off ill have to wait.

In a rush to get it on becuase i took my lambdas out today to ensure the threads were okay on the new mani....and half my downpipe came off with the bottom lambda lmaoo...gonna be fun at mot time :(
n ahh shit....is it worth wrapping the bottom of the mani then or just past the oil filter? I'm excited for fitting the mani lmaoo...
