There not the best cams in the world but for 100 quid I'd say there were a bargain.

would i be worth holding out and getting something better for more money? i'm not desperate for more power and don't mind spending money if it makes a difference?

Bargain. IIRC they are a similar spec to PH3/708

piper are good cams, theyre one of the most expensive brand

as for the spec theyre pretty good tbh, not as wild as ph3's but the difference is minimal, near enough 708 spec

buy the tbh, even if you dont fit them you could easily make £50-100 on them

thanks guys, might buy them and through them in :)

take it i won't "need" a remap with these as they look pretty tame?

I've got them in my car, seem good tbh, makes good power. Also got a mapped ecu for them for sale ;) locked though

they will run fine unmapped with a good power gain, be better mapped though

theyre slightly more in duration and a tiny bit less lift than 708s. Theyll run without a remap, but you want to remap to make it worth it.

I'll save for the map after then :) as long as there safe to run and will gain at least some power from dropping then in i'm happy :)

you guys recommend any internal changes?

You should fit new lifters with the cams, otherwise standard internals are fine.

That said, I know people who have fitted cams with old lifters and still had really good results, nothing to suggest they were badly affected.

i ran them in my old engine with abit of head work had 163.7 atf so not a bad power increase
