VTR exhaust

Currently have a magnex 3" may be a 3.5" not sure! its not that big! I like the look of it as i do think it suits the rest of the car.

Question is - If I got a straight pipe to downpipe and then later down the line get a 4-2-1 manifold it will be all straight through will this give performance LOSS or GAIN ?

It would be a gain as your taking out any silencers and cat. Making it less restrictive.
