however i know these cars are heavy as fuck...he took me out in it and to be honest i wasnt impressed...id reckon my vtr...with induction kit only would probably even it.

it will be shit. they will wheel spin for fun away from lights and junctions etc but it wont be fast.

my mates 5.7l chevy, he'd changed cams, head, headers carb etc and still wasnt as quick as my saxo or nova.

well few things about it

1. uncomfy
2. seats were OLD! even for 1988 and shit!
3. stupidly loud...you might think saxos were loud but seriously on just over tick over it was doing my head in.

come back and tell me when your saxo has done half a million miles as thats what a good v8 is based on.

have to remember cruising in America v8 at 55mph will be like 1500rpm not like the 3000rpm on a pissy 4 pot over here.

Plus the v8 noise

i think its

saxo - about 110bhp? about 920kg?

mustang gt 1990 convertable - about 225bhp? about 1.4 tonne?

stats would say the mustang would win...but they can be wrong.

who gives a fuck mate?!

imo you sound like a tit, saying how amazing your saxo is compared to a Mustang.
i know which one turns more heads, which one gets more attention and respect...and is sure as fuck aint the saxo.

if it was a 1960 Tang, you would be loving it, because it looks the muts fucking nuts, but because its an 80 and looks like a beat up escort (imo) you are bitching about it...

a mustang is a mustang! its a loved car, and will always carry more respect, regardless of what year / model it is over a saxo/westie/furio/vtr or vts.

That particular mustang is clearly not one of the best or the fastest

There are a few others that would leave your VTR for dust though

its a saxo mate, your trying to make it sound like the fastest motor in the world.

as said, that particular model, may not be as fast, but then 90% of the other ones would leave your saxo at a stand still.

why dont you race, and get back to us with the results :A:

My friend has a mustang, it's a beast, and a beautiful car. As said though it's a 60's one, didnt think anyone would bother with an 80's one

were not in america

yea but a car designed for the american market will be designed for american roads
a car designed for the uk where we have twisty be roads will be nimble and corner well

American roads are straight therefor the mustang wont corner unless the designer was thinking hmmmm maybe a guy in 30 years with a citroen might bitch my car wont corner aswell as a car aimed at a b road blast not a quarter mile

Lolamerica.

5.4L and only 240bhp. Gutted.

At the ring my mate in his standard 197cup was far quicker than some dude in one of the new mustangs. They went out one after the other an the clio returned a few cars before the ford.

The was quick on the straights though with power, but was awful in the corners apparently.
