I ordered a saxsport exhaust system the other day after doin a bit of reading it it appeared to be highly rated and lots of people had them. Anyways i ordered:
2) Centre Pipe with Dummy Cat (decat), ROAD Backbox with 3" rolled in tailpipe. but when it turnt up today whilst i was at work i opened it to see no downpipe to replace the cat? i was under the impression it was centre pipe and a dummy decat with backbox? Reading it again i thought you could argue the dummy cat is there but thats technically a midbox not a cat?
Long boring story short lol, is my order wrong or have a misread? I want it to be quite loud and raspy when i fit saturday and no cat = noiiise as we know lol :D.
cheers in advance to any answers :)

If your cat is in the manifold downpipe thats why, later spec 106s and saxos need an aftermarket manifold ideally to decat :) The exhaust should be right..
Migh want to put up pictures just incase! :D

the system you have bought will only decat the MK1 saxo as its cat is under the car, as you have a mk2 like me you will need a 4 branch manifold to decat the car :)

Ahhh that'd make sense lol, i have a mk2 saxo and the cat is basically in the manifold lol, just an excuse for me to go and buy a 4-2-1 now though i guess lol :D thanks mate :P
think they should be a little clearer on the dummy cat(decat) part can be misleading, long as its loud n raspy i dont care for now lol :)

it wont be as loud and raspy as your expecting i dont think, but when you get the 4 branch mani on there it will sound awsome no doubt :y:

its personal preference really mate. when i get my new supersprint system im guna get either a supersprint manifold to go with it or a janspeed one.
raceland do a stainless 4-1 for the mk 2 saxo now, its about 200 quid from kam racing but its good cause you dont have to move the oil filter to the mk 1 set up like you do with a lot of 4 branch manifolds.
if you dont want to have to move the oil filter then im pretty sure any 4-1 manifold will fit and also the supersprint 4-2-1 is the only 4-2-1 that will fit i think.
obviously aslong as its an 8Valve manifold haha.

The sportex 4-2-1 for the mk2 fits also, its best to heatwrap it as it does sit close...you also need to be good at adapting things as I hear some are a shit fit....mine was okay just needed a bit of modding to the sealing ring to the centre section.
